Data Sovereignty

Sovereign Data Model

Every organization owns its own data. ChannelForge facilitates collaboration — it does not centralize ownership. Sharing is explicit, auditable, and revocable.

Core Rules

Your Data Belongs to You

Vendor data belongs to the Vendor. Distributor data belongs to the Distributor. Reseller data belongs to the Reseller. Always.

View-Only by Default

When organizations collaborate, shared records are view-only by default. No one can edit, delete, or change ownership of another organization's data.

Explicit Sharing

Sharing must be intentional, permission-based, auditable, and revocable. There is no automatic or implicit data access.

GDPR-Aligned

Data classifications (Public, Shared, Confidential, Restricted, Personal Data) ensure GDPR-sensitive information is protected by default.

Cross-Organization Field Visibility

Visible When Shared

  • Account Name
  • Industry
  • Region
  • Country
  • Customer Segment
  • Product Portfolio
  • Partner Relationships
  • Renewal Month
  • Health Status

Always Restricted

  • Internal Notes
  • Activity History
  • Emails & Meeting Records
  • Commercial Terms
  • Contracts
  • Margin Data
  • Pricing Agreements
  • Internal KPIs & Targets
  • Internal Forecasts

Contact Data Protection

Contacts are NOT shared by default. When shared with explicit approval, only Name, Job Title, Business Email, and Business Phone are visible. Internal notes, communication history, and personal data remain protected.
